On April 29, over 120 participants, including Verani agent Kathy Bagley, walked and ran to bring awareness to this important cause. The event raise a total of $4,000.

The National Brain Tumor Society is committed to finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for people living with a brain tumor. They accomplish this by funding research and advocating for public policy changes. According to the American Brain Tumor Association, over 700,000 people in the United States are living with primary brain and central nervous system tumors.

Kath Blake, Regional Manager for Verani, was approached by Mr and Mrs Paul Fitzgerald to participate in this local event. Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald know first-hand the pain of this dreaded disease as their son, Luke, was diagnosed in 2013. A husband and father of 2 young boys, Luke was tragically afflicted with brain cancer and passed away in 2016. Verani is proud to have participated in this event so families like the Fitzgerald family can one day have access to a cure.
