Verani’s North Andover Office Supports Local Fight Against Addiction through Donation

Verani Realty

Like many of its New England neighbors, Massachusetts has been deeply feeling the impacts of the opiate epidemic. To support local efforts to treat addiction and educate community members, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty’s (Verani) North Andover office recently donated $750 to the Andover Cares Fund through the Rotary Club of Andover. The donation was made through VeraniCARES, Verani’s philanthropic arm that focuses on giving back to the communities where agents serve and live.

The Andover Cares Fund launched in 2015 when members of the Rotary Club were inspired to take action when the heroin epidemic impacted their lives, along with the lives of many across the state and the country. As overdoses and deaths increased, they kicked off the initiative with an inaugural Andover Cares Festival in the Park to bring the community together over music and stories from neighbors whose lives were impacted by addiction.

To date, over $40,000 has been raised to support the Andover Cares fund, which awards grants to programs that support Andover's three-tiered solution to the opioid addiction crisis: education, treatment, and enforcement. The Rotary Club of Andover is one of the most active Rotary Clubs in New England. The Rotary is a prestigious international services organization, with 1.2 million members in 34,000 clubs worldwide.
