Celebrating Top Producers and a 50 Year Legacy at the Ozzie Awards
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty kicked off its 50th year in business at its annual Ozzie award ceremony at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center. The Ozzie awards recognize the company’s top producing real estate teams and individual agents, and it’s also a family award that honors the company’s roots.
Verani Realty was started in 1967 by Osvaldo Verani (nicknamed “Ozzie”), father of current CEO Margherita Verani and President Giovanni Verani. The annual Ozzie awards are a way to honor him as well as recognize agents who have achieved a high performance level as determined by gross commission income (GCI). The award statue was originally designed and created by Patricia Verani, Osvaldo’s wife and a noted local artist, and it is the same statue that is given out to award winners today.

Over 220 guests gathered together to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments. The evening kicked off with an inspiring champagne toast by Margherita and Giovanni to recognize the milestone year and the agents’ hard work. Sponsors RMS Mortgage Services, Inc. and Broker’s Title and Closing Company recognized the agents and offices that offered their support and business throughout the year.
The celebration continued with the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices awards, which recognize the franchise’s top producing agents and offices. Awards were also given to Verani’s top-performing rookie agent, Kathy Moore, and eleven Achievers of the Year: Corina Cisneros (Belmont), Marie Cruise (Nashua), Valerie Ellmer (Seacoast), Sharon Gill (Seacoast), Gretchen Haga (Windham), Flavia Isakov (Nashua), Kevin Learnard (Londonderry), Anne Metthe (Windham), Kathi Mikilitus (Windham), Tami Mousseau (Concord), and Paul Redmond (Windham).
The night concluded with handing out the Ozzies to the ten top producing agents, five top producing teams, and the office of the year (winners listed below).
The evening also served as a fundraiser for VeraniCARES, Verani Realty’s philanthropic and social development initiative. A 50/50 raffle was drawn at the end of the ceremony and winner Cammie Ferreras, Manager of Verani’s Bedford location, donated her winnings, bringing the fundraising total to $745 for the evening.
Winners and their guests spent the rest of the night celebrating with dancing and fun at a photo booth. Sponsor PlanOMatic generously provided photography services for the event.
